Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Job Summary
As a Warehouseman, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials/property to support construction and maintenance activities. Your role includes warehouse layout planning, maintaining inventories, preparing necessary documents and reports, and ensuring proper receipt, storage, and issue of project materials. You will also assist with the management of project-furnished tools captured on the Property Book and stored in the Toolroom.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Receive, check in, and issue materials for construction and maintenance projects.
- Plan the layout of the warehouse to optimize space and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain document files, and prepare required documents and reports.
- Maintain accurate inventories and complete records of all materials and equipment.
- Ensure proper planning, receipt, storage, and issue of all project materials.
- Assist with the management of project-furnished tools.
- Assist in coordinating the movement of materials and equipment to work locations.
- Complete and review records related to warehouse activities, maintain tools and equipment, and perform various clean-up activities.
- Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
- Perform moderate to heavy lifting as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or material handling role.
- Requires the ability to perform heavy lifting, up to 50 lbs. alone or up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Knowledge of the Global Combat Support System–Army (GCSS-Army), Post-Goods Issue Process, Turn-In Process, Put away actions, and Storage Support Functions.
- Must have the GCSS-Army Training and Certification (GTRAC)
- Strong organizational, communication and documentation skills are required.
- Must have knowledge of warehouse layout planning and inventory control.
- Requires basic computer skills for maintaining records and preparing reports.
- Requires a valid passport with at least 12 months of validity and 6 blank pages.
Preferred Qualifications (Preferred Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
- Experience in construction or maintenance-related warehousing.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment.
- Good communication skills for explaining instructions and coordinating work activities.
- Ability to work effectively under direct supervision and independently when required.
