Kickstarter- Junior operations Engineer

As a Junior Operations Engineer IGA or PAM / AMyou’ll help organisations stay secure and compliant by keeping their IGA and/ or PAM/AM solutions running smoothly. You’ll resolve support tickets, assist with change handling, and grow into a role where you take ownership and drive improvements. Along the way, you’ll build deep IAM expertise and contribute to a team that values initiative, knowledge sharing, and continuous growth.

Your first months: 

  • In your first 2 weeks: get to know your new team and get more context around what you will be doing at SITS | Traxion.
  • In the next 3-4 months: Get brought up-to-speed with the IAM world, get hands-on training for both hard skills and soft skills that are necessary to become successful in this field. Obtain the necessary certificates for your respective field and gain insight into your personal communication preferences and underlying drives in order to build on your development plan. Form a collaborative, supportive environment with the other Kickstarters. At the same time, get situated and start developing within your team and start a deep dive into your new specialism.
  • The next couple of months: Gain hands-on experience working at & with clients. Together with your buddy and the support of your colleagues you will rocket into becoming a specialist.
  • After that: You are fully embedded into your team and further develop yourself as a specialist within your field. Your professional goals act as a guideline for the steps in your development to ensure you can keep working towards your ambitions. 

 

What you'll do as an Operations Engineer  

  • Actively contribute to achieving the company's SLAs;
  • Begin by assisting in resolving 2nd and 3rd line tickets but quickly grow in independence and start taking responsibility and ownership over this;
  • Support senior Operations Engineers with change handling and documentation; 
  • Attend technical sessions, vendor trainings, and customer shadow sessions; 
  • Understand SLA/DAP basics and contribute to security awareness; 
  • Assist with IAM/PAM/IGA-related tasks such as RFIs (technical and functional customer questions) requiring technical expertise around the IAM/PAM/IGA solution;
  • Active participation in optimizing existing operations and processes;
  • Build your IAM knowledge and work towards obtaining and retaining relevant certifications.

Your role as an Operations Engineer is crucial to company success. Following a successful implementation, you take ownership of ensuring that our clients remain informed and up to date on their IGA, PAM, or AM solutions. Together with the team, you will be responsible for proactively monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents, and providing expert support to maintain operational continuity and client satisfaction. As a junior we highly value your input and growth within the team. We have a high level of seniority and lots of enthusiasm to share knowledge and expertise!

  • Fixed-term contract as part of our Kickstarter program, with intent for permanent contract.
  • Position for 40 hours/week (32-36 hours can be discussed).
  • Hybrid working options: 3–4 days/week at our Waardenburg office or client site and 1-2 days in the home office.
  • A starting salary between €3000,- and €3350,- gross depending on your level of education and/or your experience.

What you'll bring to the team 

  • Knowledge: Understand SQL / PowerShell script and understand the basics of CLI (command line interface). For both a basic understanding will suffice; we will teach you the rest! It is important to understand how IT architecture drawings are connected and to have some understanding of networking and IT infrastructure. Any understanding of the OSI model is helpful.
  • Skills: You’re not afraid to ask (critical) questions or approach new people. Knowledge in information security is helpful. You are eager to learn and welcome giving and receiving constructive feedback
  • Languages: Fluent proficiency in Dutch and English (C1). Any knowledge of the German language could be a great addition but is not necessary.
  • Education/Certifications: HBO or WO bachelor or master related to IT and/or computing science. 
  • Availability: Available fulltime (32 hours can be discussed) from the 1st of March 2026 and able to work from Waardenburg or client site 3–4 days/week.
  • Driver's License: Valid EU driver’s license is helpful.
  • Work Eligibility: You live in the Netherlands and hold a valid work visa.
