Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior System Administrator to join our team! In this role you will get to build and operate multi-user Windows and Linux systems to support our growing number of internal engineering networks.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Administer Windows Server, Active Directory/Azure AD, Group Policy, and Linux servers
• Patch systems, monitor health, and respond to alerts/incidents
• Assist with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V/XCP-ng) and backups (e.g., Veeam)
• Automate with PowerShell/Bash and document what you build
• Build/Deploy new systems and apply security hardening tools, e.g., STIGs
• Provision new user accounts with appropriate group and user permissions
• Work closely with Information Assurance professionals to harden and maintain program networks

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalence in industry certifications or apprenticeships
• 0-2 years of experience in IT operations and/or homelab experience with Windows Server and Linux
• Powershell and Bash fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory
• Basic understanding of network technologies such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and VPNs
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• US citizenship

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Certifications needed for DoD 8570 IAT Level II
• Experience with Azure AD/Entra
• Experience with VMware Vsphere or other hypervisor platform (Proxmox, Hyper-V)
• Willingness to obtain and maintain a US security clearance

Salary Range: $72,900.00 - $127,600.00
