Janitor

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION: 

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment throughout the facility. This role supports daily operations by performing routine cleaning tasks, responding to maintenance needs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. 

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas 

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in production and administrative areas 

• Empty trash and recycling bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas 

• Refill supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper 

• Clean windows, walls, doors, and other surfaces as needed 

• Perform minor maintenance tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, reporting leaks) 

• Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment 

• Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings or facility events 

• Respond to urgent cleaning or sanitation needs as directed 

• Maintain cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions 

YOU HAVE: 

• Preference given to candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent experience 

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in an industrial or commercial setting is a plus 

• Ability to operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums) 

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices 

• Strong attention to detail and reliability 

• Proficiency in working independently and following guidelines 

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
