JOB SUMMARY

Position is on-site to support Manufacturing and Warehouse locations in Auburn Hills. Advanced technical support, process improvement, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in the on-call rotation, responding to emergency situations as needed, during and after normal business hours during on-call week.
  • Respond to support tickets and monitor ticket queues to ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues across multiple platforms.
  • Lead resolution of escalated support tickets and ensure root cause analysis is documented.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of enterprise applications and systems.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and test new technologies and upgrades.
  • Maintain and improve documentation and knowledge base articles; identify gaps and propose updates.
  • Provide informal mentoring and guidance to Support Tech 1 team members.
  • Participate in small-scale IT projects, including planning, execution, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Monitor and report on support metrics to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and contribute to policy refinement.
  • Works safely at all times and complies with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma and one year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25 pounds of equipment, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

  • A+ certification or similar
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow and CMDB
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory
  • Knowledge of the principles of local area networks

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Use of computer keyboards or other equipment for extended periods of time.

Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

Specific vision abilities include close vision for reading and studying technical materials and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of the time.

Specific physical abilities include walking, carrying, and lifting to 25lbs, with occasional lifting to 50lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Primary workstation is in the office area, but time is spent throughout the building. 

The noise level in the work environment ranges from low to moderate.

Although the position is site based, Support Techs interact with end-users through phone, email, online chat, or through remote support software to troubleshoot technical issues.

Safety glasses and steel toed shoes required on the manufacturing floor, receiving inspection, receiving, stockroom and shipping areas.
