IT Operations Leader - Change Process and Airbus Offer (f/m)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an IT Operations Leader (f/m) to join our department DPCP based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of the Digital organization for Configuration Management (DPC) within the PLM (DP).

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is a full set of solutions and data, managing the entire lifecycle of the Aircraft, from its conceptualization, development, and deployment, through its maintenance and ultimately to its decommissioning and recycling. DP organization is composed of a set of PSLs (Product Service Lines) delivering capabilities to support Airbus Develop Business process. We have a footprint in Europe and in India.

DPC is the Product Service Line, within DP, which supports the Configuration Management process, working mainly with Configuration Management CoC. Configuration Management is an amazing discipline, highly transversal as CM operators are belonging to most of the Airbus functions. It enables to embrace the whole company's challenges and take an active part in our company transformation. It is a critical domain as it ensures that the final product delivered to airlines is in line with the airworthiness and airlines expectations. 

Digital for Change Process and Airbus Offer (DPCP) aims at delivering best-in-class information technology tools (ACS, ACC, Sysconf, ICC) in order to secure change management and offer management operations and boost its future performance. The mission of this organization  is to  lead the definition, the development, the implementation, the maintenance and the support of associated tools set to all Airbus programs in line with the corporate strategy as requested by Programs, CoE and CoC. Activities are performed in the frame of a SAFe Agile Release Train of around 150 people (IM + Business).

Our applications are used by more than 10k users daily,  in Airbus Commercial, ATR and Airbus Canada. And we are currently engaged into a massive transformation initiative aiming at decommissioning legacy applications (ACC, Sysconf, ICC) to a modern platform (ACS).

Your challenges:

  • Incidents tracking, follow-up and escalation (follow-up meeting, escalation to management, crisis meeting)

  • Ensure that incidents process is correctly applied in the Product and process improvements (Awareness, Audits)

  • Regular meetings with L2 and L3 support teams.

  • Report to management major risks or issues.

  • Regular meeting with Business to follow this scope of incidents and provide to them regular status.

  • Prepare and anticipate issues based on return of experience

  • Provide KPIs and analysis in order to push mandatory improvements

  • Coordinate the resolution of incidents thanks to an important network of many profiles

  • Validate production intervention requests and actions by the Red Team.

  • Support build activities and their transition to production (release scope, technical documents, testing defects, etc.).

  • Coordinate efforts with the Architects team regarding obsolescence, cybersecurity, robustness, and small evolution activities.

  • Compile necessary information and monitoring for tracking budgets related to the above activities.


 

Your boarding pass:

  • Academic background (or equivalent) in Information Technology

  • Solid professional experience in the operations and/or crisis management

  • Technical expertise :

    • Good knowledge on Service now

    • Knowledge on Ctrl M, SQL databases and Hosting services (VM IAAS, PCP, ...) will be appreciated

    • Knowledge on Version one (and SAFe) is a plus

  • Functional expertise:

    • Experience on application management

    • Knowledge on Configuration Management will be well appreciated

    • Knowledge on overall Airbus IT landscape and more specifically of PLM

  • Leadership skills

    • Rigorous and autonomous

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information

    • Strong collaborative mindset

    • Customer focus 

    • Stakeholder management skills

    • Ability to work under stress

    • Negotiation level in English
