GDIT has an exciting opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Manager supporting U.S. Army Europe throughout the Atlantic Resolve Theater. The Solutions Expert will deliver simple solutions to complex problems by tailoring cutting-edge solutions to the unique requirements of our customers and to enhance our customer's mission leading to positive effect on the support provided to our customers and teams that need technical guidance and assistance and communicate well across the spectrum of customers we support.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Project/Task Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of U.S. Army Europe. You will play a crucial role in providing mission command support.

  • Lead IT and network infrastructure operations supporting Department of Defense systems, ensuring mission-critical performance and reliability.

  • Supervise and mentor teams of IT professionals, project managers, engineers and architects to foster technical excellence and operational readiness.

  • Coordinate network modernization initiatives, system upgrades, and hardware lifecycle management across enterprise environments.

  • Oversee troubleshooting and issue resolution to maintain continuous operational capability and minimize downtime.

  • Develop and manage dashboards and data tools that integrate multi-system information, enabling clear communication and actionable insights for technical teams and leadership.

  • Align IT capabilities with mission objectives through strategic collaboration with senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Serve as a liaison between military and civilian leadership, translating complex technical concepts across echelons and coordinating theater-wide operations.

  • Maintain professionalism and composure in high-pressure, fast paced environments where precision and responsiveness are paramount.

  • Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop network requirements specifications.

  • Guide users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies.

  • Analyze network requirements and capacity to ensure efficient and effective design for mission requirements.

  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of network requirements, design, and technology

  • Integrate new network plans and systems into ongoing infrastructure and operations.

  • Manage the transition and migration of networks.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Project/Task Manager must have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred), or equivalent years’ experience.

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure and network operations in defense or enterprise environments

  • Technical skills: Background founded a US Army Brigade & Below communications MOS preferred; Proven leadership of technical teams and multi-enclave network environments; Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and hybrid network architectures; Familiarity with DoD and NATO cybersecurity and IT governance frameworks, including NIST, DNI, and DoD directives; Experience with virtualization, cloud, and storage technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, EMC); Hands-on expertise in Cisco and Juniper network hardware/IOS, servers, mobile systems, cabling, rack installation, data center design, HVAC, and data protection; Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement DoD-compliant networks and systems aligned with US Army and NATO standards; Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills; Ability to work independently or collaboratively within cross-functional teams

  • Security clearance level: Active Secret clearance (minimum); TS/SCI eligible or current preferred

  • US citizenship required

  • Role requirements: DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+, CASP, CISSP); PMP or equivalent project management certification

The likely salary range for this position is $105,622 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Total compensation for international positions varies by tax, social security, and immigration statuses, as well as location. Generally, an international assignment may include allowances, premium uplifts, and/or relocation or transportation benefits, above base salary range noted.
