Professor Reznikov laboratory, Department of Bioengineering, is hiring a part time IT Assistant C to support its ongoing project that involves performing image processing operations for a collection of at least 400 bone image volumes, acquired by microcomputed tomography (µCT).

Main tasks include:

  • Use the Dragonfly 3D World software to perform deep learning-assisted image segmentation and to align the images with each other
  • Pre-processing of imaging data from a database for quantitative analysis
  • Process images using the set software
  • Run existing Python scripts to automate steps of the process
  • Edit and writes report or manuals related to the project
  • Control the quality and inventarisation of images
  • Refinement and debugging of digital image processing pipeline and customized macros
  • Provide  maintenance and resolves any hardware/software related issues.


Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities

  • High School Diploma with two years of relevant experience in the field
  • Experience using Dragonfly 3D World and prior knowledge of the Python programming language are strongly encouraged.
  • Prior knowledge of basic human anatomy is encouraged
  • Excellent command of English.

Number of hours per week: 10h

Expected start date : Nov 10 2025

Expected end date: April 30 2026

Hourly rate: 18.50 $
