Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

Safety:

  • Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) rules and regulations at all times.  (e.g.10 critical safety rules and three obligations)
  • Wearing of appropriate PPE at all times.

Quality:

  • Report any relevant quality defects to Engineering Store Coordinator.

Housekeeping:

  • Maintain world class levels of housekeeping according to the 5’s housekeeping standards, i.e. cleanliness of shelves & bins, arrangement of bins, suitable packaging, correct labeling, etc.

Productivity:

  • Material Master/Inventory Control, place accepted goods in correct holding and storage area (fork truck license mandatory).
  • Inspect delivered goods against delivery note.
  • Manage the Cycle count process.
  • Generate ATS application forms, completing all fields profit centre, cost centre etc.
  • Capture the detail on ATS control worksheet, to be sent to Procurement and ATS Control for purchase order to be raised.
  • Ensure accurate filling of all completed ATS application in item number order.
  • Manage consignment stock items with Consignment Vendors regarding regular replenishment.
  • Stock Control – perform random regular stock counts, manage any large discrepancies
  • Capture and assist during Audited stock counts.
  • Prevent pilfering and stock losses by applying strict access control measures.
  • Establish and maintain excellent lines of communication with all customers.

  • Matric
  • Minimum 3 years' work experience in Engineering, Manufacturing Materials and Consumables Stores environment.
  • Full Understanding of inventory management systems and processes.
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office literacy.
  • Strong administrative and logistical skills in line with recognised financial policies and procedures.
  • SAP R/3 knowledge and experience.
