The Opportunity:
CACI has a need to add an experienced ISSM - Cyber Engineer to its Cybersecurity (formerly known as Information Assurance) team in Omaha, NE. The selected candidate will perform independent work on multiple customers/projects. Travel is required within the United States for various projects.
Individuals interested in working on Part Time On Call status can be considered.
Responsibilities:
- Employ strong technical and organizational skills to coordinate requirements and deliverables with the customer.
- Coordinate internal project schedules and client deliverables, participate in meetings and maintain a current status record on all projects.
- Develops and implements cybersecurity plans, programs and control guidelines.
- Research, identify, evaluate, and provide status of RMF security controls and POAM’s.
- Maintains applicable baseline security controls and artifacts from NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253 for multiple systems.
- Ensures customer systems, as well as local systems, maintain their Authority to Operate (ATOs) with a security posture in accordance with NIST, FIPS, CNSS, ICD 503 and local guidance.
- Interact with Security Controls Assessors, development and test teams, and System Administrators to coordinate system upgrades and test cycles.
- Create, update, and assess compliance of system Authorization and Assessment (A&A) packages.
- Conducts quality control reviews of security assessments prior to submittal.
- Conducts technical vulnerability reviews and on-site assessments and assists system administrators with applying security patches; validates changes.
- Evaluates potential cyber security risks and recommends corrective action.
- Confers with and advises cohorts on administrative/technical policies and procedures as well as resolving technical problems, priorities, and methods.
- Ensures all relevant cyber security considerations are integrated into systems engineering and design processes.
- Provide network and systems engineering expertise as needed.
- Must work across geographically diverse teams to meet program requirements.
- Participate in internal Cybersecurity Working Groups as needed.
- Work with Configuration Manager to ensure proper Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) and Software Bill of Materials (sBOM) procedures are followed as required by customer.
- Support project development environments and processes to support secure effective implementations.
- Work with multiple Authorizing Officials (AOs) and Program Offices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- BS/BA in computer science, computer engineering or information systems or equivalent experience
- Active TS/SCI
- 5 years of experience in evaluating proposed engineering changes for security accreditation impacts and supporting the engineering required to accredit new C4 systems and subsystems
- Possesses an Information Assurance Management Level II (IAM II) DoD 8570 or Information Systems Security Manager (722) DOD 8140.03 certification (CAP, GSLC, CISM, CISSP, CASP+ / SecurityX)
- Risk Management Framework (RMF) experience writing SSPs, RARs, SCTMs, POAM’s and Test Plans
- Experience with DISA STIG implementation, eMASS, eMASSter, STIGViewer and ACAS
- Experience implementing IC and DoD policies, procedures, and operating instructions related to IT, IA, and IM
- Experience with the implementation of complex engineering solutions for critical systems and capabilities, engineering and implementation of C4 systems, operations and maintenance of systems and subsystems.
- Experience in the design, engineering and implementation of technologies and interfaces specifically supporting the operational capability of senior leadership and supporting facilities.
- Must be familiar with USSTRATCOM common IT systems and engineering software tools (REMEDY, Visio, AutoCAD)
- Experience in installation, integration, and test activities in support of operation and maintenance of C4 systems.
Desired:
- 10 years of experience in system security engineering in support of computer information systems design, development, and integration of communication networks for command & control centers
- Network Administrator or System Administrator experience
- Experience reading physical wiring diagrams
- Experience working in Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) environment

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$78,000 - $163,800
