Dematic has an immediate need for an Inventory Clerk in our Memphis, TN Warehouse. This position is responsible for checking, inputting data as well as verifying that the correct amounts and types of items counted.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $16.20 - $20.00 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

This is What You Will do in This Role:

Work Environment:

  •     Perform daily internal use adjustments
  •     Coordinate responses on all count requests.
  •    Coordinate and monitor scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts.
  •    Coordinate weekly adjustment report and tracking for Distribution Center Shrink Task Force.
  • Enter accounts payable adjustments generated by repack departments.
  • Enter adjustments and correct receiving entries as requested by Inventory Control, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable departments.
  •   Coordinate monthly stock rotation and schedule.    
  •   Monitor open transfer purchase orders for all Distribution Center buildings.
  •    Enter receiving comment updates.
  •    Coordinate requests for receiving documentation.

What We are Looking For:

  • 18 years of age
  • Able to speak, read, and understand elementary English
  • Able to understand written and verbal instructions
  • Organizational skills for record keeping
  • Able to work minimum 40 hours per week
  • Able to function in a warehouse environment
  • Able to stand on feet for an extended period of time

Education:

Typically High School Diploma

Knowledge & Experience:

Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures for supervised work group(s). Demonstrates understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action. Typically up to 3 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as presented above.

Direction of Others:

Typically supervises hourly employees, typically in a manufacturing or production environment.

Primarily intra-organizational contacts and limited external contacts
