PURPOSE
To develop CAD drawings and BIM models for our team of building services consulting engineers, in accordance with established CAD/BIM standards and ISO 9001 and ISO 19650 procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Working closely with our engineers, you will be responsible for setting up and producing engineering CAD drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordination of our services and final presentation of drawings. You will provide input into technical BIM processes (e.g. standard operating procedures, templates, developing new workflows, research & development, etc.). New ideas and career development are encouraged. KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Education in the field of civil engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
Having work experience.
Experienced AutoCAD user with a good background in producing building services engineering CAD drawings (Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health disciplines).
Experience in using Revit MEP to produce building services engineering 3D models, with the following experience preferred:
Delivery Exposure to several small to medium projects for the duration of appointed stages (PGD to PZI or more), producing drawings & services coordination.
AN APPLICANT WILL HAVE AN ADVANTAGE IF
Delivery Exposure to several large projects for the duration of appointed stages (PGD to PZI or more), projects producing drawings & services coordination
Multiple sector exposure & lead model management for the above is preferred.
Excellent understanding of the Project Browser, Ribbons & Key Functions
Good understanding and experience using view templates, systems, filters & worksets
Basic Family Creation
Basic Dynamo or Programming experience would be beneficia
Good understanding and experience with Navisworks including navigation, review & clash detection.
Understands all three disciplines and how they work together. Has an interest in developing their design, knowledge of MEP systems and can demonstrate steps they have already made to progress these skills in their current role.
Ability to read and understand engineering mark-up drawings.
Very good attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to identify cross-discipline coordination issues.
Experience of working in a building services consultant and /or with a sub-contractor.
Strong organizational skills and capable of managing both personal workload and engineers’ expectations effectively.
Self-motivated with good time management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
English language proficiency would be considered an asset.
Previous site experience would be beneficial
