Interior Director / Senior Interior Designer / Senior Space Planner – Commercial (부장 이상)

About the Role:

We are looking for Design Leaders with 15+ years who are experienced in leading all aspects of the Design process from ideation to implementation guiding clients to innovative and successful outcomes. Leaders who will work closely with the design team and clients, supporting a design team in Korea. You will collaborate with our Korea and APAC design team members to deliver exceptional workplace solutions from initial test-fit, space planning and design that meet both practical and creative objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading all phases of the design process with a high level of proficiency, expertise, and creativity while adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and living design.
  • Develop comprehensive space planning strategies with strong knowledge of space planning principles, ergonomics, and workplace strategy.
  • Propose innovative solutions for optimizing space utilization and improving workplace efficiency.
  • Review Design team’s developed concept/ story/ 3D visuals and lead to finalize and communicate design ideas.
  • Review proposed appropriate furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes by the design team and approve before final submission.
  • Stay current with industry trends, sustainability practices, workplace design innovations and technology.
  • Prefer to understand compliance with building codes, accessibility standards, and health and safety regulations.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, meeting all deadlines and quality standards.
  • Maintain good network with vendors and suppliers for efficient sourcing.
  • Develop good relationships with Clients and other departments within JLL.
  • Strong presentation in both English and Korean.
  • Experience in managing a team(s) and supporting direct report’s career growth.
  • Knowledge of profit in design process, delivery and resource management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in medium to large scale commercial interior design projects as a designer, or project manager, or manager with a focus on workplace interiors.
  • Proficiency in AutoCad, MS Excel, Word and Presentation.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.
  • Portfolio demonstrating a range of successful commercial projects with a focus on workplace interiors.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Prefer designer who can speak Korea/English.
  • Reviews work for accuracy, omissions, legibility, and for document compliance in accordance with the Project Delivery Manual.
  • Demonstrates strong and effective communication and direction which inspires high team performance and design ideas.

  • Presentation Tools (Adobe Suite/Affinity, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
