The mission of the Intellectual Property (IP) & Brand Protection Department is to aggressively safeguard and preserve our brand.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our IP & Brand Protection team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for safeguarding Aritzia’s brand image and ensuring Aritzia strategically capitalizes on IP value. As the Paralegal, IP & Brand Protection, you will support with maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our IP and Brand protection operations by managing key databases, coordinating critical administrative tasks, and executing brand protection activities. THE ROLE

As the Paralegal, IP & Brand Protection, you will support with:

  • Establishing Aritzia’s approach to IP & Brand Protection.
  • Identifying and advising on brand protection opportunities including conducting IP and brand risk assessments.
  • Capitalizing on Intellectual Property value including managing the IP database.
  • Identifying imitation, misrepresentation, and reputational risks to our brand.
  • Seamlessly remediating brand infringements.
  • Responding quickly to brand infringements and mitigating future abuse.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Paralegal, IP & Brand Protection, has:

  • Proven skills, certifications, education and/or experience in Intellectual Property & Brand Protection.
    • Deep knowledge of the fashion landscape is an asset.
    • Experience operating in a fast-paced environment and supporting international legal matters is an asset.
  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles.
  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners.
  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business.

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $50,000 - $100,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
