We are looking for an Information Security Manager to join Stora Enso's global IT starting as soon as possible.
You will be joining the Security & Privacy team with the vision of “Securing long-term profitability and meeting customer expectations with business resiliency and compliance”. You will be reporting to the Head of Security and Privacy.
Stora Enso is currently transitioning towards a global IT proactively partnering up with our business colleagues to drive growth with every project and every line of code. We build on a digital core to deliver what our business and customers need most. Your role will be critical in this shift, as we embed AI, automation, and data-driven governance into the fabric of the organization.
You will be located in our modern office in Ostrava, Czechia.
Purpose
You will develop and manage information security policies, guidelines and assurance activities across Stora Enso’s business and functions. You will ensure that Stora Enso’s security practices not only meet but exceed business, regulatory, and threat landscape expectations.
Your work will drive the implementation of security baselines, support a proactive security culture, and provide expert guidance across the company. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will play a central role in safeguarding Stora Enso’s digital ecosystem while enabling sustainable growth.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain security baseline policies, guidelines, and processes based on Stora Enso’s business needs, threat landscape, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop Stora Enso security assurance frameworks, including security metrics and KPI definitions.
- Monitor, assess, and report on the implementation of security baselines across the organization.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging threats, risks, and regulatory developments, and translate them into actionable improvements.
- Coordinate with operational teams to align business practices with security baselines and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders including customers, auditors, authorities, and partners.
- Support and advise business units and leadership on information security and risk management.
- Participate in critical incident management and help strengthen our resilience against security threats.
- Contribute to building a strong security awareness and culture across Stora Enso.
What you bring
- Proven experience in developing and managing information security frameworks, risk management, or compliance programs within complex, global organizations.
- Deep understanding of information security standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices, with the ability to translate them into clear, actionable processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks, identify gaps, and recommend practical, business-aligned improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor, assess, and report on security performance, ensuring transparency and accountability across teams and functions.
- Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise, influence, and partner with both business and technical stakeholders.
- High integrity and professional judgment, with a strong sense of responsibility for confidentiality, compliance, and ethical decision-making.
- Resilience and composure under pressure, particularly in managing or supporting security incidents and critical situations.
- Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning, staying ahead of emerging threats, technologies, and evolving regulations to keep Stora Enso secure and future-ready.
