Position Overview:

The Director of Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engagement and Portfolio Management serves as a strategic leader within the Identity and Access Management organization, responsible for driving stakeholder engagement, overseeing the IAM portfolio of programs and initiatives, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring financial accountability across the function. This role acts as the primary liaison between IAM and its business, technology, and security partners—facilitating transparent communication, aligning priorities with enterprise objectives, and ensuring that IAM initiatives deliver measurable value.

Our Impact:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business units, technology teams, and senior leadership regarding IAM strategy, roadmaps, and project delivery
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment between IAM objectives and business needs
  • Lead communication strategies, including executive updates, steering committee presentations, and quarterly business reviews
  • Translate complex IAM concepts into clear, business-relevant messages for diverse audiences
  • Oversee the IAM portfolio of projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, budget, and resource capacity
  • Establish governance frameworks for project prioritization, performance tracking, and benefits realization
  • Partner with program managers and product owners to monitor project health, mitigate risks, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
  • Maintain a multi-year roadmap for IAM capabilities and investments
  • Develop and manage the IAM department’s financial plan, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Track and report on program expenditures, return on investment (ROI), and cost optimization opportunities
  • Partner with finance and procurement teams to ensure fiscal discipline and transparency

  • Contribute to IAM’s overall strategic planning and maturity roadmap
  • Lead the governance and relationship management for IAM vendors, including contract oversight, performance management, and renewals
  • Evaluate vendor capabilities and market trends to inform strategic sourcing and technology decisions
  • Foster strategic partnerships to drive innovation, efficiency, and service quality across the IAM ecosystem

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 12+ years of experience in IT portfolio management, program management, or stakeholder engagement roles
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in information security, identity and access management, or technology organizations
  • Proven success in managing complex portfolios and driving stakeholder alignment across large enterprises
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets
  • Experience with IAM technologies and frameworks (e.g., SailPoint, Ping, Azure AD, PAM solutions)
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $182,000 - $274,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
