Major Duties:

  • You will assess manufacturing, repair and overhaul project requirements against capabilities and capacities.
  • You will ensure all policies and standard operating procedures are adhered to in all areas of production, production support and repairs.
  • You will resolve problems effectively with sound objective data and recommend the appropriate actions to correct inadequacies within the workforce, technical problems, facilities, equipment, shop hazards, environmental, HAZMAT and safety conditions.
  • You will review reports, documents, drawings and manuals to assure the accuracy of the work packages.
  • You will assess repair and overhaul projects against inspection capabilities and capacities of the production shops.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting the Production/Support Supervisor by planning evaluating analyzing, and providing technical surveillance over complex manufacturing and industrial operations requited in the prototyping, production, assembly, disassembly, overhaul, repair installation and test of Aircraft launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) in shop, aboard carriers and air capable ships; 2) Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and familiarity with projects and track records, as well as the repair, overhaul, and modification of ALRE equipment (including organization, facilities, equipment, materials, manufacturing processes and cost estimating principles) and procedures, as they pertain to prototyping, production, repair, overhaul, and test of ALRE systems and component; 3) Possessing the ability and maintaining leadership control of personnel, administering management policies and procedures and coordinating functions between various groups to accomplish intended goals.
