Job Description & Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Technical Operations Lead with expertise in Azure cloud infrastructure, database management (SQL and MongoDB), and automation through PowerShell and other forms of scripting (Python / Bash). This role is pivotal to our technical operations, with a strong focus on CI/CD pipelines, ADO pipeline management, and IT service operations. The ideal candidate will be adept in troubleshooting, integrations, and monitoring, with hands-on experience across                   various systems including ServiceNow, Datadog, App Insights, and Log Analytics.   

As the Technical Operations Lead, you'll enhance IT operations through automation, optimize infrastructure, and provide strong support across tech stacks. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure effective system performance, integrate new technologies, and drive ongoing improvements in technical processes.

Job Position Title:

Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure Management: Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of Azure solutions, ensuring scalability, cost-effectiveness, and security. 

- Database Administration: Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL and MongoDB environments for high performance and reliability. 

- Automation & Scripting: Develop and implement automation solutions with PowerShell and other scripting languages, streamlining workflows and reducing manual interventions. 

- CI/CD & ADO Pipelines: Oversee the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, ensuring efficient and automated deployment cycles. 

- Monitoring & Alerting: Implement and maintain monitoring solutions across Splunk, Datadog, Azure App Insights, and Log Analytics to ensure system health, performance, and SLA compliance. 

- IT Service Management: Utilize ServiceNow for ticketing, incident, and change management, ensuring timely and efficient issue resolution and tracking. 

- Integration & Troubleshooting: Oversee system integrations across applications, addressing and resolving compatibility or performance issues. 

- Operational Metrics & Reporting: Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor infrastructure performance, detect issues early, and enable data-driven decision-making. 

- Alert & Incident Response: Configure and optimize alerting processes, ensuring that critical issues are quickly escalated and addressed, and maintaining response SOPs. 

- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across architecture, development, and support teams to align operations with business objectives. 

- Documentation & SOPs: Create, maintain, and continuously improve SOPs and technical documentation to ensure consistent, efficient processes.

Mandatory skill sets:

- 5+ years in technical operations with a focus on Azure cloud management, database administration, and automation. 

- Strong knowledge of SQL, MongoDB, and other databases, with the ability to optimize and troubleshoot effectively. 

- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting; additional familiarity with Python or Bash scripting is a plus. 

- Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly within Azure DevOps, and a solid understanding of pipeline management and automation. 

- Proven expertise in monitoring and alerting tools, especially Datadog, App Insights, and Log Analytics. 

- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for incident and change management workflows. 

- Familiarity with troubleshooting and optimizing the Azure Stack, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and networking configurations. 

- Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices within cloud and database environments. 

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical details to non-technical stakeholders. 

- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple competing priorities from business stakeholders. 

- Willing to work outside typical business hours as needed to resolve urgent issues or join calls with teams in other time zones. 

Preferred skill sets:

Experience with cost optimization strategies for Azure resources, ensuring scalability without sacrificing cost-efficiency. 

- Familiarity with blue-green deployment methodologies and experience in managing database updates. 

- Exposure to additional monitoring and alerting tools and platforms. 

- Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks for a structured approach to service delivery.
