Implementation Manager

Role Overview

The Implementation Manager will have a diverse set of responsibilities and be required to work closely with all members of the MMIS team. The ideal candidate will be intelligent, attentive to detail, flexible and comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment. The Implementation Manager is responsible for delivering solutions and building long-term client relationships.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project plans, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management
  • Implement technical solutions by managing, leading, and performing hands-on configuration
  • Responsible for overall coordination and stability of technical software development, infrastructure, and implementation work efforts from initiation through delivery
  • Critical liaison between the MMIS development team and clients ensuring all milestones and technical project requirements are achieved on schedule and surpassing client expectations
  • Create and maintain a knowledge base of client’s processes and the technical solutions needed to support these
  • Effectively communicate updates and project expectations to team members and management in a timely and clear fashion
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Plan, track and schedule project timelines, and budget accordingly
  • Diagnose client issues and escalate to development team
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
  • Frequently conduct client product trainings and be available for support
  • Build, develop, and grow client relationships
  • Review modifications made by development team and form quality assurance and user acceptance testing
  • Provide cross-functional support to the Customer Success and Managed Services teams, contributing to customer support delivery, data management and remediation, and report generation based on workload and customer needs
  • Act as the primary customer liaison post-implementation, ensuring effective product adoption and utilization while addressing support tickets, regulatory inquiries, and operational requests in alignment with workload and customer priorities

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field preferred; PMP certification a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience in a SaaS or other high-tech environment
  • 5+ years’ experience in project management and implementing software solutions; understanding of project management methodology
  • Familiar with US and OUS Transparency and Compliance within the Life Sciences Industry
  • Experience in Confluence, JIRA, Zendesk and Smartsheet a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all organization levels and relate to and motivate team members; strong coaching, facilitation, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Proven track record of successfully managing client and upper management expectations and building and maintaining client relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and shift priorities as required while remaining professional and calm under tight deadlines and due dates
  • Exceptional ability to participate as an individual contributor and team player with high attention to detail in a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using both Mac and Windows MS Office Suite platforms including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
