Your New Role and Responsibilities 
Leidos Australia has a contract opportunity for an organised and proactive HR Operations Assistant to join our dedicated HR team through to July 2026, with potential for extension.  This hybrid role, based across our Scoresby and Melbourne City offices provides essential administrative and systems support to ensure the smooth delivery of HR services across the organisation. 


As the first point of contact for HR you will play a key role in supporting the onboarding process and will work closely with HR team members and stakeholders across the business. This is a process-driven and fast-paced position, perfect for someone who enjoys variety, collaboration and getting things done.

Your responsibilities in this role will include;

  • First Point of Contact: Respond to employee HR enquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive employee experience. 
  • Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Support: Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, process HR transactions (e.g. promotions, transfers) and guide leaders through related workflows.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records in Workday, ensuring data integrity, discretion and confidentiality.  
  • Compliance & Reporting: Run Workday reports, assist with audit preparations and ensure adherence to internal policies and data governance standards. 

What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact 

  • Demonstrated experience providing guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures and general process-related enquiries. 
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel including VLOOKUP, pivot tables and data linking. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and professional correspondence and explain HR processes to wide range of stakeholders.
  • High level Strong attention to detail with focus on accuracy, capable of identifying and correcting data errors others may overlook.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
