We’re looking for an HR Manager to join us in Barcelona. This role combines business partnering with day-to-day HR transactional work. You will be the primary HR contact for leaders, managers, and colleagues across Aggreko in Spain, as well as for those in companies acquired by Aggreko. You will work closely with Centres of Excellence (COEs) to deliver the local People Plan, ensure compliance with Spanish employment law, and support the full employee lifecycle.

What you’ll do:  

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, coaching them to build capabilities and foster a high-performance, safety-first culture.
  • Align HR initiatives with commercial goals to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Provide expert counsel on employee relations, performance management, and compliance, including Spanish employment law.
  • Analyse people data to identify trends and support decision-making that enhances colleague experience.
  • Manage employment contracts and ensure HR policies are current, legally compliant, and well communicated.
  • Lead talent management activities including workforce planning, succession, and development, collaborating with Centres of Excellence.

  

You’ll have the following skills and experience: 

  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner in Spain with strong knowledge of local labor laws and contract management.
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior leaders constructively, with strong coaching skills.
  • Commercial mindset linking HR initiatives to business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English; knowledge of Catalan is a plus.
  • Experience managing employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Proactive in staying current with labor legislation and working effectively in a matrix organisation.
