The Head of SHE leads the development and execution of the Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) strategy for the Software Solutions division of Weir, ensuring alignment with our global standards and compliance with local regulations.
As Software Solutions enters a phase of rapid growth—including the integration of Micromine, Motion Metrics and Fast2Mine—the role focuses on managing SHE risks across diverse geographies and operational contexts.
Success in this role requires strong technical SHE expertise, strategic leadership, and the ability to build trusted partnerships across the business. Operating within a global matrix, this role will collaborate with senior leaders to embed a proactive safety culture, drive performance, and support continuous improvement

Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture
Strategic Leadership
Develop and implement a Software Solutions SHE strategy aligned with Weir’s global standards and the business’ growth trajectory
Provide strategic oversight of SHE performance across all Software Solutions sites and operations, including high-risk environments (e.g., work at heights, confined spaces, energy isolation, driver safety)
Operational Oversight
Lead SHE integration for newly acquired entities
Talent & Capability Development
Identify and develop internal SHE talent
Risk Management & Compliance
Monitor and mitigate SHE risks and ensure compliance with local and international SHE regulations and standards
Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with senior leadership, to shape SHE priorities and foster a culture of zero harm
Engage with site leaders and SHE specialists to foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
Over 10 years of progressively senior SHE leadership experience within global manufacturing, industrial, or service-based organisations
Proven track record in managing and delivering SHE priorities and initiatives to successful and impactful outcomes
Demonstrated ability to align strategic safety, health, and environmental objectives with regional, country, and site-level targets
Strong experience in developing actionable plans and effectively deploying teams to achieve operational goals
Established capability in building and leading high performing SHE teams, while fostering strong business partnerships across all levels of the organization
