Te Tūranga – About The Role
Are you a strategic leader with a passion for fresh food and operational excellence? We’re looking for a visionary Head of Fresh & Manufacturing – Wholesale to lead the charge in delivering a world-class fresh offering across meat, produce, and seafood for our wholesale customers.

Reporting to the GM Wholesale & Customer Service, you’ll be a key member of the Wholesale Leadership Team, responsible for shaping and executing the fresh category strategy as part of Gilmours 3.0 and supporting Gilmours vertical integration strategy. You’ll drive commercial performance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across our fresh portfolio.

In this role, you will
·       Lead Strategy & Growth: Develop and execute a best-in-class fresh category strategy across meat, produce, and seafood.
·       Lead Fresh Value Chain Development:Provide strategic leadership for the development of our fresh value chain, with a focus on building processing capability that delivers quality, efficiency, and growth.
·       Drive Commercial Performance: Own financial outcomes including sales, margin, shrink, and waste across fresh categories.
·       Champion Customer Needs: Translate wholesale customer insights into innovation and improved offerings.
·       Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with supply chain, merchandising, compliance, and store support to deliver seamless execution.
·       Lead & Inspire: Build and empower a high-performing team, fostering a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence.

·       Deep expertise in fresh categories (meat, produce, chilled).
·       Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and commercial levers.
·       Proven leadership and cross-functional influence.
·       Strategic mindset with a customer-first approach.
·       Financial acumen and operational literacy.
