Position summary:

As the Head of Communications, Global Health, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic communications that support GSK’s mission to unite science, technology, and talent to get ahead of disease together. Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic communications plan to support GSK’s global health priorities
  • Create compelling content that highlights GSK’s impact in global health, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission and values and focus on being a responsible business
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including NGOs, government agencies, and media outlets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels
  • Monitor and respond to emerging global health issues, ensuring timely and effective communication strategies
  • Represent GSK at external events, sharing our vision and impact in global health

Basic Qualifications:

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public health, international relations, or a related field
  • Proven experience in strategic communications, public relations, or advocacy
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences
  • Experience working in global health, public health, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders across different sectors
  • Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Master’s degree in communications, public health, or a related field
  • Experience in a global organization or working across multiple geographies
  • Familiarity with health systems in lower-income countries and global health challenges
  • Ability to manage high-stakes communications and navigate complex issues
  • Experience in developing metrics-based communication strategies
  • Confidence in providing strategic counsel to senior leaders

This role is based in the United Kingdom and offers a hybrid working model, combining on-site collaboration with remote flexibility.
