As the Head of Actives Consumer Excellence, you will lead a high-performing international team to drive growth and innovation in the active ingredients space. Your work will directly contribute to our ambitious growth targets. This strategic role is designed to realign our product line with major end markets, introducing a strong market-pull dynamic.

Key Reponsibilities

  • Lead the development and promotion of market-oriented products and solutions to achieve long-term growth.

  • Manage a global team of six experts, including three brand managers, fostering collaboration and excellence.

  • Act as a Gate Keeper for the global innovation pipeline, ensuring strategic alignment with market needs.

  • Understand key cosmetic brand needs and deliver tailored solutions in collaboration with sales, marketing, and applied innovation.

  • Oversee the development of three strategic innovation territories: Dermocosmetics, Longevity, and Scalp Care, including innovation activities, marketing concepts, and promotional campaigns.

  • Define and leverage major cosmetic claims to guide innovation and product launch strategies.

  • Collaborate closely with the Evonik Skin Institute, marketing, and sister product lines to ensure harmonized communication and claim strategies.

What you bring

  • University degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in cosmetics, chemistry, life sciences, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience across relevant environments (including B2C).

  • Proven leadership experience in international, cross-functional teams.

  • Strong background in cosmetics, personal care – having worked for a cosmetic brand would be a plus.

  • Fluent in English (Spoken & Written).

  • Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation and market trends.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to translate brand needs into actionable product strategies.
