We are actively seeking a Group Vice President (GVP), Global Human ResourcesThis Global Executive role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rimini Street and is a key member of our Executive Leadership team. Qualified candidates may work remotely, in North America, with location near our Pleasanton, CA or Las Vegas Headquarters a plus.  This role will require periodic global travel.

Position Summary

The right candidate for the GVP, Global Human Resources, will be a bold, strategic leader with an influential communication style, an execution-focused leader to partner with the Executive Leadership team.  They will design, implement, and oversee all HR-related activities to attract, develop, and retain the best people – our key assets, enabling the company to successfully execute on its business goals and provide world class service to our clients. The GVP, Global HR interfaces extensively with the CEO, the Executive team, and key functional leaders across the organization.  They will also manage the company’s interactions with Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors.  They will lead, advance, and scale integrated HR programs and processes for the company’s high growth business and talent objectives.  The GVP, Global HR must be a collaborative business partner, able to function effectively and credibly at all levels of the organization to build a “best place to work”, high performance culture.  They will lead the creation and evolution of capable, effective organizations to enable the ongoing growth of the company and our global workforce.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead a global team of 60+ HR professionals supporting 2,000+ employees and an additional 1,000 contingent workers distributed around the globe in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Develop and implement Rimini Street’s HR vision and strategy to support the company’s goals, enabling groups across the company to drive top-line and bottom-line growth while serving our clients with excellence and efficiency.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of Global Human Resource Policy, practices, operations, and strategy, including talent acquisition; rewards & recognition; employee relations; compensation & benefits management, performance management, equity administration, organizational design and development, and succession planning.
  • Work with the CEO to manage the company’s interactions with the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors, including executive compensation and succession planning.
  • Partner in the development of business plans and ensure that the company has the talent and commitment necessary to achieve its business goals and objectives.  Lead ongoing Global Workforce Planning to meet the company’s current and future needs.
  • Lead appropriate global talent strategy that allows the company to scale, including leadership and employee development, assessment, learning, performance management, identification of high potential talent and evaluation, and succession planning for key roles company wide.
  • Hire, mentor and retain a strong HR team, including leadership roles. Provide leadership and development opportunities for our global team of HR professionals.
  • Help create, promote and foster a high-performance culture consistent with the company’s values.  Motivate our global workforce to be highly engaged and aligned to the company’s goals.  As a collaborative business partner, function effectively and credibly at all levels of the organization to make Rimini Street a great place to work.
  • Serve as senior advisor, counsel, and confidante to Executives and their senior leaders on all aspects of HR.
  • Lead and execute an appropriate total rewards strategy that enables the company to hire, develop, retain, and reward top talent and meet/exceed strategic and operating objectives.
  • Ensure that the company’s compensation philosophy and approach to managing compensation across base salary, incentive, and equity pay is market-competitive and consistent with business strategy.
  • Build, maintain and execute appropriate global HR policies, processes, and systems to support the organization’s ongoing growth.  Drive the adoption of technologies and systems for efficient operations and market-leading competitiveness.
  • Establish global requirements that meet the needs of a multi-national, publicly traded company while accommodating local laws and customs.
  • Provide the appropriate day-to-day tactical and strategic support to help the business and support people-leaders run their respective areas effectively.
  • Build data and analytical capabilities to provide senior leaders with talent, culture, and engagement related information. 

Education

An undergraduate degree is required; an MBA or related Master’s degree is desirable.

Location

Remote - U.S.; location within commuting distance of our regional hubs in Las Vegas, NV or Pleasanton, CA is desirable.

Experience

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in HR leadership roles, including global roles.
  • 8+ years of experience in high-growth technology companies, especially software or software-related services businesses with annual revenue of at least $300M.
  • Experience setting the HR vision and strategy for a global company and building, leading, and motivating a Global HR team.
  • Experience across key HR areas including Total Rewards (compensation, benefits), Talent Acquisition, Employee Engagement, Employee Development, HR Operations, and HR Processes and IT systems.
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, high quality HR programs in tech companies of 1500+ employees with multiple international locations.
  • Experience leading HR for offshore workforces; experience with India and Brazil preferred.
  • A successful history of developing leading-edge, cost-effective Global HR programs, systems and policies that reflect future plans and philosophies to support growth, profitability, employee retention and development, and customer service.
  • A track record of creating, developing and evolving teams and organizations to meet the needs of a high-growth business in a dynamic market space.
  • Experience as an active member of an Executive Team, building and maintaining relationships with CEOs, other C-level executives, General Managers, peers, partners, clients and prospects.

  • A strong coach to help drive and influence change in executive/organizational behavior and operating style.
  • Expertise in anticipating issues across the organization, recognizing opportunities, and proactively developing initiatives.
