About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Strategy Consultant within the Growth Marketing team to drive referral marketing strategies (refer-a-friend) aimed at acquiring new checking account customers. This role leads cross-functional efforts across marketing, analytics, finance, and product to develop and execute profitable digital and direct marketing strategies that deepen customer engagement with checking products.

The ideal candidate is analytical, collaborative, and performance-driven, with expertise in digital and branch channels, P&L management, and test-and-learn methodologies. In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement innovative referral marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition and engagement through “Refer-a-Friend” programs

  • Develop integrated campaigns across Paid and Owned channels, including digital, social, and branch channels, to maximize referral participation and conversion

  • Partner with Finance, Brand, Analytics, Product, and Technology teams to optimize referral funnels, track performance, and deliver measurable ROI

  • Serve as a customer advocate by identifying pain points and creating seamless referral experiences that enhance satisfaction and loyalty

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliance, operational readiness, and scalability of referral initiatives

  • Continuously test, learn, and refine referral tactics using data-driven insights to improve program effectiveness

  • Act as a thought leader – present and discuss ideas with the intent to persuade, educate, and enhance understanding across all levels of the organization

Required Qualifications:  

  • 5+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms (i.e. Mobile or Social Media) experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience developing and executing referral or loyalty marketing programs within banking, financial services or similar industries

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, customer lifecycle strategies, and incentive design

  • Highly analytical with expertise in performance measurement, A/B testing, and campaign optimization

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence and align cross-functional teams

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

  • Familiarity with marketing technology platforms, CRM systems, and compliance considerations for incentive programs

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$100,000.00 - $196,000.00
