Position Purpose:

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to lead the Groundskeeping Department and oversee the maintenance of campus grounds and the hospital’s vehicle fleet. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.

Position Highlights and Benefits:

  • Schedule Information: This position will be scheduled for 40 hours a week on day shift. Shifts may include weekdays, weekdays or holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree required. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 4 years of experience in landscape maintenance required.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of landscape maintenance including irrigation system maintenance, turf maintenance, shrub and flower maintenance and planting, tree maintenance and planting, and safe a proper use of all industry related chemical applications. 
  • Administrative experience with managing records, invoices, and human resource needs preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted driver's license required.

What You Will Do:

  • Supervise and motivate the Groundskeeping team to maintain high standards of landscape care.
  • Manage grounds contracts and ensure compliance with campus landscaping standards.
  • Oversee irrigation systems, turf, trees, shrubs, and flower maintenance, including chemical applications.
  • Support construction projects and collaborate with the campus parking committee.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain hospital vehicles through preventive maintenance and quality control checks.
  • Serve as the primary contact for grounds contractors and manage fleet acquisitions and disposals.
  • Handle administrative tasks to accurately track invoices and other department records.
