THE ROLE
The Graduate Research Administrator will provide administrative support within teams across the Macquarie University Graduate Research Academy. This includes operational administrative functions, scholarship administration, project administration, and facilitating training activities and events, with the aim of providing efficient and professional support services to staff and candidates.
Your responsibilities include:
Provide administrative support for Higher Degree Research projects, program development and promotional activities, workshops, inbound and outbound delegations.
Coordinate in person and online events and administer surveys.
Maintain and update web content, publication content and process manuals
Monitor and maintain dashboards and records in various university systems, review data for accuracy and reporting purposes
Receive, resolve and escalate enquiries as required.
Prepare meeting agendas and minutes, track action items.
Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of improvements to administrative systems, processes and procedures. Create process maps and documentation.
Liaise with a variety of stakeholders, such as international and domestic universities and for-profit and not-for-profit organisations.

The Graduate Research Academy (GRA) which sits within the portfolio of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research), is a central unit led by the Pro Vice-Chancellor Graduate Research, providing leadership, support, operations and administration for our Higher Degree Research candidates, supervisors, and faculties. The GRA works in partnership with aculties to provide candidates with an exceptional Higher Degree Research training experience.

Essential Selection Criteria
A degree in a relevant field or a combination of relevant experience and/or education/training,
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to draft correspondence, prepare PowerPoint presentations and communicate professionally and effectively with a broad range of people from diverse backgrounds,
Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines and balance a wide range of conflicting demands,
Experience in coordinating projects and /or events, including coordination of multiple activities concurrently,
Experience in desktop publishing and maintaining website content,
Excellent computing skills with a good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs such as WORD, PowerPoint and Outlook,
Knowledge of Excel, VLookup, pivot table, and if-then data tool functions, and
Use of student information management systems
Desirable Criteria
Experience in use of Salesforce,
Knowledge of Higher Degree Research Policies, systems, processes and procedures,
Understanding of the other areas of the University,
