We are looking for an experienced Senior GPU Compiler Engineer to join our team who is ready to make significant impact on client graphics via functional features and advanced optimizations.

Our Senior GPU Compiler Engineer:

  • Designs and develop state of the art compiler translations and optimizations targeting GPU.
  • Investigates and prototype new optimizations to improve performance and efficiency for GPU systems.
  • Collaborates with GPU HW architects to to implement new uArch features for future Intel graphics IPs.
  • Technically leads performance measurement and workload analysis to evaluate and improve the compilation technology on new HW features.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.

Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or any related field with 8+ years of professional work experience
  • C/C++ programming skills
  • Knowledge of LLVM compiler internals and/or GPU compiler technology supported by professional experience in the domain
  • Experience with design, development, analysis and tuning of compiler transformations and optimizations
  • Familiarity with GPU HW architectures and their key performance aspects
  • Knowledge of GPU programming and/or 3D rendering pipeline using at least one


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on development of compiler tools, such as assembler, linker, debugger, etc.
  • Experience with working in simulation environment
  • Understanding of performance monitoring and HW considerations that can affect measuring methodologies
  • Experience with software development tools/infrastructure - GitHub, JIRA, scripting languages
  • Prior work in a technical leader role, providing guidance to other engineers

The Software and AI (SAI) Team drives customer value by enabling differentiated experiences through leadership AI technologies and foundational software stacks, products, and services. The group is responsible for developing the holistic strategy for client and data center software in collaboration with OSVs, ISVs, developers, partners and OEMs. The group delivers specialized NPU IP to enable the AI PC and GPU IP to support all of Intel's market segments. The group also has HW and SW engineering experts responsible for delivering IP, SOCs, runtimes, and platforms to support the CPU and GPU/accelerator roadmap, inclusive of integrated and discrete graphics.
