Global Mobility Project Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Global Mobility Project Consultant to lead and oversee international employee assignments in support of our lines of business around the globe. This role requires a strategic thinker with STRONG project management skills who can navigate complex cross-border mobility challenges while ensuring exceptional employee experiences and compliance with global regulations.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be equally comfortable conducting a compassionate consultation with a first-time assignee as you are leading a steering committee meeting on a global policy harmonization project. Primary Responsibilities

Program Management

  • Proficiency with project management methodologies and tools to create and maintain project timelines, budgets, resource allocation plans for mobility initiatives, clear documentation, status reports and presentations for leadership
  • Strong ability to develop project plans, define milestones, allocate resources, identify risks, and drive accountability on the part of cross-functional teams including HR, Legal, Tax, Immigration, and Security to ensure seamless execution
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when necessary to meet deadlines and objectives; responsible for entire projects or processes spanning multiple professional areas.

Stakeholder & International Assignment Management

  • Serve as primary point of contact for relocating employees, providing guidance and support throughout the mobility process
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align mobility strategies with business expansion plans
  • Build and maintain relationships with external service providers including immigration attorneys, tax advisors, relocation companies, and housing providers
  • Communicate program updates and changes to stakeholders across the organization

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of all mobility activities and employee assignments
  • Develop and deliver regular reports on program metrics, costs, and employee satisfaction
  • Analyze mobility data to identify trends and opportunities for program enhancement

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, HR, International Business, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience in global mobility, international HR, or related field (equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of degree); master’s degree with 6+ years relevant experience
  • 5+ years of project management and implementation oversight experience

Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis
  • Familiarity with Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system

Core Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; additional languages a plus
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively across diverse global teams
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent complex projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Project management experience in global mobility, HR, or related field, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines
  • Implementation leadership: Experience overseeing mobility program implementations, policy rollouts, vendor transitions, or system integrations (HRIS, case management, etc.)
  • Dual capability: Must excel at both high-touch, white-glove international assignment consultations and stepping back to deliver process optimization, standardization, and scalability initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Global Mobility Specialist (GMS) certification or equivalent
  • Experience with international tax and immigration regulations
  • Experience with AI technologies and how to incorporate them into daily processes is a plus

Working Conditions

  • Occasional travel required (up to 10% domestically and internationally)
  • May require availability outside standard business hours to accommodate global time zones

Pay Range:

Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
