The Position

The Global Facility Management & Services team plays a strategic role in supporting the entire enterprise by overseeing the global facility operations and is responsible for strategy, organization, coordination, process and governance across all aspects of Facility Management. This group is focused on aligning facility management with business growth, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) imperatives, workforce transformation, and efficiency optimization to ensure safe, sustainable, and future-fit environments across the global Sites Network.

This role is for a strategic leader and subject matter expert who will be instrumental in overseeing the further development and governance of the Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) Program globally. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, set strategic direction, standards, and performance in Asset Management across owned and leased property assets worldwide.

The Opportunity

  • Strategically engage with global stakeholders responsible for delivering LCAM and Facility Management services across the Sites Network and beyond.

  • Define Roche’s enterprise-wide LCAM strategy with a focus on governance architecture and operational guardrails, aligning decisions with long-range business plans and sustainability ambitions.

  • Steer a high-performing global team spanning activities such as Strategic Asset Management Plans, Maintenance and Reliability strategies, and Asset Information linkage to Facility Management Strategy.

  • Lead the development of foundational capabilities, frameworks, and standards to empower site-level teams, drive consistency in practice, safety, and operational excellence, and co-sponsor maturity models.

  • Manage external vendors supporting LCAM and Facility Management, while ensuring timely, value-creating decisions aligned with business needs and long-term portfolio strategy.

  • Actively contribute to the senior leadership team, providing subject matter expertise on LCAM and Facility Management and broader site management topics.

  • Support the development of Roche’s enterprise-wide Facility Management strategy, including procurement activities and operational process development.


 

Who You Are

  • University-level education (MSc, equivalent or higher) with significant experience in LCAM, Engineering, Facility Management, Business Administration, or a related field; recognized industry certifications are advantageous.

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in global corporate Real Estate or Facility Management leadership roles, ideally in life sciences or similarly regulated, multi-site industries.

  • Significant experience leading globally distributed teams and influencing senior stakeholders across a matrixed enterprise, with proven success in governance and portfolio strategy.

  • Experience in leading the development and strategic implementation of asset management strategies and systems, and an understanding of implementing digital asset management systems.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach a high-performing team, act as a role model for the Roche Leadership Commitment, and present with integrity and presence to senior audiences.
