The role of the Marketing Innovation Manager is to deliver a full, balanced and consistent flow of consumer-relevant and scientifically differentiated innovation into the global pipeline to meet brand growth and innovation objectives. You will be actively driving innovation pipeline and projects and will ensure broad understanding of such through planning documents and personal interactions with Business Units and cross functional partners.
The role holder will be accountable for validating the desirability, feasibility and viability of innovation projects so they may be prioritized and resourced for development through the stage & gate process, as well as driving delivery through the gates to launch. It focuses on embedding innovation culture, design thinking, superiority framework to accelerate and enhance quality of innovation delivery.
This requires very strong and broad understanding of the entire innovation and development process across multiple functions, leadership and influencing skills, excellent commercial savvy, as well as high levels creativity, problem-solving and entrepreneurship. The role holder should be able to work well in an ambiguous environment and feel comfortable to master complexity in a dynamic, fast-paced, global healthcare environment.
In this role, you will:
Identify, assess, and drive key innovation opportunities forward, successfully transitioning them into the development pipeline following proof of concept. Success is measured by the size and quality of the pipeline, as well as the volume and size of opportunities that are qualified and successfully transitioned into development.
Partner closely with consumer insights to ensure early technical consumer understanding, focusing on a "consumer first" approach. Work closely with business development to build relationships and develop deal/joint development structures.
Collaborate with the Global Design team, FEI team, CBIA, and other partners to embed and grow innovation capabilities.

Bachelor’s degree
Extensive experience in innovation within the pharmaceutical or fast-moving consumer industry
Experience of leading and managing a team across multiple geographies
Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
MBA
Knowledge and understanding of the pharma and FMCH/FMCG industries, broader consumer and macro trends (economic, demographic, regulatory, etc)
Extensive expertise and passion for innovation and excellence in achieving results, especially in a regulated environment.
Exceptional Leadership to set vision, drive execution and inspire markets around the world
Strong alignment skills and ability to take others along in a complex matrix
Pragmatic and motivated by execution as much as by setting direction
Strong influencing skills
Strong financial acumen to enable strong innovation business cases
A strong understanding on the requirements to deliver OTC innovation to the marketplace along with a good grasp of the challenges associated with the core functional areas
Experience of partnering with R&D, Regulatory, Product Development, Supply Chain and other functions for product design and development
