As part of the Global Commercial IO Franchise Team within the Oncology Business Unit, we have an outstanding opportunity for a talented and passionate Global Commercial Head to play a leadership role in the commercialization of novel-novel combinations with IO in Lung Cancers
What You'll Do:
Own the global commercial strategy and outcomes for IO assets in lung cancer, developing lifecycle plans and securing launch success.
Lead and develop a high-performing team, directly managing Directors and Associate Directors; attract, retain, and grow talent while building an engaged, inclusive culture.
Chair and align cross-functional governance bodies including the IBT and Global Product Teams, ensuring commercialization priorities are embedded in decision-making.
Deliver balanced pricing and access strategies that are grounded in robust insights and market dynamics.
Drive market shaping and external engagement, building partnerships and patient-centric solutions to accelerate adoption and impact.
Engage with core markets to plan for and implement commercialization and launches across current and future lung cancer indications.
Strengthen commercialization capabilities and ways of working to improve value for patients, health systems, and society.
Influence senior stakeholders internally and externally to remove barriers and accelerate priority outcomes.
Contribute to the broader Oncology strategy with a clear focus on the immuno-oncology lung portfolio.
Model learning, innovation, and cross-functional collaboration, challenging paradigms and elevating performance across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or life sciences.
15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical development and commercialization.
Demonstrated accountability for business success in a major healthcare market, with a proven track record of delivering measurable outcomes.
Broad end-to-end commercialization experience, with evidence of key deliveries across pre-launch, launch, HTA validation, and long-term business planning and business case development.
P&L management experience with strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation; translates financial insights into strategic decisions that drive sustainable growth and ROI.
Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring a highly engaged team; builds inclusive, high-performance cultures and develops talent to elevate outcomes.
Ability to work in ambiguous environments and influence without authority
Established proficiency in guiding complex and uncertain projects with agility, independence, and a strategic attitude.
Effective analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with proficiency in using insights to drive brand success.
Keen understanding of the strategic and operational considerations for in-market success and proven ability to negotiation trade-offs when there are competing priorities
Excellent collaboration and partner engagement skills, with the capacity to work across scientific and commercial teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or advanced degree in a related field.
Sales or customer-facing experience.
Experience in both market and global commercial organizations.
Management experience leading diverse teams.
Strong business acumen and ethical standards, capable of influencing stakeholders and driving performance.
Alliance experience would be an asset
Experience in IO cancers would be an asset
This is based at our Gaithersburg, MD campus (headquarters for the US Oncology and the global Oncology Business Unit). The annual base pay for this position ranges from $270,221 to $405,332. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
