As a Global Clinical Order Manager (GCOM) you will drive the  operational coordination and on-time execution of packaging orders of Investigational Medical Products (IMPs) for global and local studies in alignment with local standards and regulatory requirements. The GCOM focuses on all final pack-orders within the packaging horizon, that is, from conversion of planned orders into process orders, handover to manufacturing including QA release oversight. This includes an effective and efficient set-up of standard clinical packaging designs as well as the coordination of the material availability in collaboration with other PTDS teams and business partners. 

The Opportunity:

  • You will manage in-house packaging orders and will drive the “on-time in-full” delivery of IMPs. 

  •  You will be accountable for the set-up of Standard Packaging Designs in cooperation with the Clinical Supply Chain Lead (CSCL), other Production Enablement teams, Master Data Deployment team, Packaging Operations, and Quality Units.

  • You will be responsible for the set-up of non-Standard Packaging Designs whereby the Global Production Enablement Leader (GPEL) is accountable.  

  • You will manage operational issues and discrepancies with Quality Units. Escalates any major in-house packaging-related issue with impact to the end-to-end timeline to the CSCL. 

  • You will also enable the Medication Randomization process for blinded studies.

Who you are 

  • You will have Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 3 years of experience in the pharma industry and/or supply chain management 

  • Proficiency ERP system experience, e.g. SAP, OMP or APO

  • APICS or SCOR certification (or equivalent), PMP/Operational Excellence/Six Sigma/Lean training or associated relevant experience are a strong plus

  • You will also be customer and patient focused, ability to create trustful relationships  with business partners
