Role Description

  • Establish global TA & brand strategy in alignment with species innovation strategy and asset growth strategies
  • Lead in-line Brand Planning through the Operating Plan cycle and development of International Markets’ annual Marketing calendar
  • Develop the brand marketing key initiatives to deliver in-line portfolio growth ambition, ensuring alignment of through International Commercial leadership and the International COE based on in-line brand strategy needs, develop 360 campaign briefs, select agencies, develop campaign strategy, key messages and campaign master assets. 
  • Provide strategic guidance to Customer Engagement Teams to develop further campaigns assets and content creating a consistent omnichannel customer experience.
  • Identify customer, pet owner and patient insight needs and recommend market research plan as part of wider TA market research for in-line brands.
  • Define performance metrics for TA defense for key in-line brands (vs key competitors) in partnership with US & International teams.
  • Partner with above-market global teams, such as VetOps & Global OR, Global Strategic Accounts, Strategic Pricing & Revenue Management, Zoetis Tech and Digital (ZTD), Learning and Development, Customer Engagement, Digital Platforms, COE, and guide & coordinate the development of required initiatives for key in-line brands
  • Collaborate with GPM team, GMA leads, and GAT members to implement plans for creating marketing campaigns or messages that include new clinical study data for in-line brands. 
  • Coordinate with GPA, VMRD, US & International teams on the development of Objection Handling guidance vs key competitors anticipating their positioning in the market, when necessary.
  • Lead initiatives that contribute to the commercial success of on market products globally including prioritizing markets and customers to supply, resource, and maximize margin
  • Lead post-launch global tracking studies, identify opportunities, and maximize commercial potential
  • Support demand forecasting and documenting assumptions for inline key brands engaging with Strategy, Manufacturing and Commercial colleagues in key markets
  • Lead Loss of Exclusivity/ Def planning OE planning for key in-line brands
  • Coordinate and guide commercial activities to ensure alignment with the global brand strategy, such as Strategic Pricing, KOL activation, GSA & KA strategies, Field Force Effectiveness initiatives, Media, PR, Congresses, and Demand Forecasting and Supply.
  • Lead internal communication of global portfolio brand strategy for in-line key brands
  • Act as first line for GMS and Regulatory questions for inline key brands
  • Ensure that the key global portfolio objectives are being achieved and results are delivered
  • Maintain strong operational relationships with the global commercial leads to ensure that market knowledge is continuously being developed and up to date.
  • Provide project and program management leadership through prioritizing and overseeing multiple work streams

Level of education and qualification:

  • BS /BA and relevant experience required. MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of related experience and a proven record demonstrating successful branding, strategy development, and communications management.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial operations particularly of the animal health industry is desirable
  • Extensive capabilities as commercial/marketing leader, ideally as Senior marketing role strategic or operationally
  • P&L and operating budget management
  • Strong financial analysis skills and proven ability to manage budgets and expenses.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in developing and executing brand strategies, programs, and tactics to achieve and surpass market share and revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a team player and player/coach.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to oversee complex, cross-functional projects that require input from many internal and external stakeholders.

Professional experience/capabilities:

  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; strong negotiation/persuasion skills.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge and expertise in marketing disciplines; brand management; market research; communications strategy; customer insight; and marketing material development.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office and ability to learn Zoetis systems).
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and make thoughtful, fair decisions based on relevant information.
  • Ability to interact with/influence peers with confidence and conviction.
  • Outstanding communicator internally and externally
  • Proven to produce outstanding results as a leader of teams/projects
  • Ability to organise and prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong networking skills, builds successful and effective relationships.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,400.00- $213,600.00 Our salary ranges are

determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the base pay target range

for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional

factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This position is also eligible for short-term incentive compensation.

This position is also eligible for long-term incentives.
