WHAT IS SO AMAZING ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Software Developer + Support Engineer to join our Connected Workforce Solutions (CWS)team, a close-knit group of innovators delivering voice-directed and mobile workforce solutions across ANZ.
This role combines software development and technical support within a small, agile team where you’ll gain exposure across the full software lifecycle, from concept and design to deployment and live system support. The position primarily focuses on back-end development, with opportunities to work on front-end components and directly contribute to project delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.
As part of our structured on-call roster (24x7, 365 days), you’ll play a vital role in maintaining system stability and ensuring customer satisfaction for business-critical applications. You’ll collaborate closely with the Project and Operations teams to develop, implement, and support solutions that keep warehouses running efficiently.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will make a visible impact. Based in Belrose, NSW, the role may include occasional travel to client sites across ANZ and offers a hybrid work model.

Tasks and Qualifications:
WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
As a Software Developer
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle: from design and development to testing (SIT, UAT), go-live, and post-implementation support.
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality, maintainable code using C#, JavaScript, Python, and Java, following established standards (Git, code reviews).
- Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications within Windows Server environments, including SQL Server, Windows Services, and related performance, permissions, networking, and configuration issues.
- Collaborate with the Solution Analyst, Senior Developer, and Project Team to align technical design and delivery.
- Support operational, sales, and R&D initiatives by providing technical expertise, developing proofs of concept, and contributing to ROI and continuous improvement analyses.
- Contribute to change and release management, including upgrades, enhancements, and system maintenance.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and improve internal tools and team efficiency.
As a Support Engineer
- Provide first-tier production support (24x7, 365 days) as part of an on-call roster, ensuring system stability and customer satisfaction.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents on customer-hosted Windows Server environments, including service recovery, event log analysis, and configuration validation.
- Perform deployments, patches, and upgrades in collaboration with customer IT teams.
- Handle BAU incidents (Sev1/Sev2), implement change requests, and assist with end-user issues.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring timely communication and resolution.
SETTING YOU UP FOR SUCCESS
You will possess:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in backend development and support engineering
- Proficient in C#, JavaScript, Python, Java; familiar with .NET Core and SQL
- Strong understanding of Windows Server administration, including file permissions, Event Viewer, PowerShell scripting, and service management.
- Experience with React, Angular, or Vue, and REST APIs
- Skilled in HTML, CSS, and design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Clear communicator with a calm, customer-focused approach
- Willingness to travel to customer sites, including interstate or NZ (typically 2 – 3 days biannually)
- Experience in warehousing, logistics, or WMS integration is an advantage, though not mandatory
- Nice to Have: Git, Agile experience, system monitoring tools; Warehouse operations knowledge is a bonus.
