Equifax is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to provide practical guidance, executable architecture, and engineering for class-leading applications within our Technology Excellence team. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative, high-quality solutions focused on our customers' needs.

What you’ll do

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable, end-to-end applications using modern full-stack technologies, with a focus on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

  • Build robust backend services, APIs, and intuitive front-end interfaces.

  • Collaborate with a highly skilled team of Staff Engineers
    Leverage core GCP services (e.g., GKE) to build and deploy resilient and performant solutions.

  • Integrate and orchestrate various systems and services, including exploring applications of LLMs and agentic frameworks where they can provide business value.

  • Prototype emerging patterns and technologies in the cloud-native and generative AI space to inform future architecture.

  • Socialize cloud-native capabilities and emerging technologies, contributing guidance to our knowledge repository.

What experience you need  

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent job experience

  • Experience in Scrum and Agile methodologies

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including extensive software architecture experience

  • Solid hands-on experience with modern programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and or Go.

  • Working knowledge of distributed systems and architecture design patterns

  • Experience in reviewing and selecting technologies for large-scale implementation

  • Solid hands-on experience in all aspects of the software development life cycles

  • Experience leveraging agentic capabilities in Gemini Code Assist and GitHub Copilot.

  • Experience with or a strong interest in applying generative AI, LLMs, and agentic frameworks to solve real-world problems.

  • You can clearly communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences – listening and providing answers

  • You have a very keen attention to detail

  • You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • You excel in strategic planning and problem-solving

  • You can successfully mentor junior engineers

  • You have the ability to build good relationships with customers and coworkers

  • Quickly and accurately gather and assimilate information

  • Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues, and solutions

  • Cloud Certifications:
    Google Professional Cloud Architect 
    Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer
    Google Professional Data Engineer

  • Experience with the following:
    AI and Machine Learning platforms like Vertex AI
    Building applications with Langchain, Langgraph, or similar agentic frameworks
    Model Context Protocol (MCP)
    Cloud Native technologies like Istio, Envoy, Argo, and other CNCF projects
    LLM observability tools like Langfuse

  • Experience working with sensitive and/or regulated data (PII, PHI, Credit Card Information, FISMA, FedRAMP) and understanding of constraints and limitations of its usages

  • Experience working in a matrix organization (Spotify model, etc.)

  • Experience in compliance, HR/onboarding and/or legislation related development
