Who You Are

As a Fraud Operations Analyst you are someone who is skilled at recognizing new/emerging patterns/typologies and responding with appropriate investigative techniques based on applied knowledge and a wide range of research/investigative techniques. You are eager to leverage your understanding of payments, payroll, and fraud to help lead the team to success. You know how to work independently, analyze complex problems, and develop the most optimal solutions. 

As an Analyst, you will join the Justworks Fraud Operations team and have the opportunity to help shape the company’s approach to Fraud/AML compliance and security; identify and revise issues/inquiries; review and enhance standard operating procedures; and interact with our Product, Engineering, and other interdepartmental teams. The ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, a desire to help others, a curiosity to learn, and an interest in supporting and mentoring others.

Your Success Profile

What You Will Work On

  • Review and analyze alerts and information from various systems that support AML and Fraud.
  • Identify new and emerging fraud trends and patterns and report findings to the Fraud Manager
  • Proactively seek to improve efficiency, reduce and mitigate losses
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to recommend solutions that impact performance, risk, losses and threats to the organization
  • Perform investigative practices to include but not limited to: complying with regulatory requirements, compile documentation and evidence, and develop initial investigative reports in the case management system
  • Own and maintain an internal resource center for policies and procedures, ensuring information is kept up-to-date.
  • Perform other duties as requested and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree; related field or work experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of fraud analysis and investigation experience in the financial industry
  • Omni- channel experience to include but not limited to ACH, Wire, Check Fraud, Identity Theft, etc.
  • Industry recognized certifications, (I.e. - ACAMS / CFE, is a plus but not required)
  • The ability to maintain confidential information
  • Proven initiative to be a self-starter and proactive approach
  • Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
  • Technologically proficient (Salesforce, Zendesk, Jira, Gong, Resistant AI, Persona, Lexis Nexis)
  • Experience in data analysis and/or leveraging AI, SQL, Excel

The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $36.90-39.93 an hour.

Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.  Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
