The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Organization has an exciting opportunity for a Flight Test Engineer in Berkeley, MO to support the Air Dominance Flight Test Engineering Capability team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Flight test Engineering Capability Leader and develop future strategy for the organization to support significant growth projected in our flight test programs.  This includes further developing and instructing our flight test engineering training programs, updating processes, and modernizing tools.  Responsibilities will also include program planning and execution strategy support to ensure safe and efficient execution of test programs, integration support with other Integrated Product Teams, and resolution of issues.  At times this position may directly support the execution of test programs and conduct missions.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Lead and Senior Level Flight Test Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Update and/or develop new Flight Test Engineering training courses

  • Instructor for flight test engineers and test conductors

  • Update and develop new Flight Test Processes, practices and standards as needed

  • Develop/modernize flight test tools

  • Flight test program planning and execution support

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 8+ years of experience working on flight test program, preferably as a flight test engineer, test conductor, and/or test director

  • 8+ years of experience with the principles of flight test OR experience directly supporting flight test operations

  • Experience supporting a military flight test program

  • Experience leading flight test execution in a control room environment as a test conductor and/or test director

  • Experience authoring test plans and test cards in support of a military flight test program

  • Capable of travelling as required, up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 5: 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Lead level (Level 4):  $120,700 – $163,300

Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 5):  $149,600 – $202,400
