As a Firmware Integration Engineer, you work on integrating multiple SOC firmware in various pre-silicon integration environments including SystemC simulation and emulation test environment. The position emphasizes enhancing the quality of our product delivery through rigorous validation methodologies and collaborative efforts across multiple disciplines. Technical Foundation
- Coursework or project experience in C/C++ programming.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with digital circuits and computer architecture concepts.
- Knowledge of basic communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C).
- Experience with version control systems (Git) through coursework or projects.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute integration and validation test plans, test code, and automation for key SoC firmware subsystems-including Power Management, Telemetry, Interrupts, Memory, RAS, I/O, and Security-across pre- and post-silicon environments.
- Contribute to the integration of firmware for IP blocks and custom modules into the SoC, ensuring functional correctness and robustness.
- Build and enhance test infrastructure, including test benches, automation frameworks, and supporting libraries, to improve validation efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and validation engineers across teams to align integration strategies, resolve issues, and drive product quality.
- Partner with senior engineers to understand SoC architecture and firmware requirements and develop comprehensive test cases that validate functionality from multiple angles.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the below minimum education requirements and minimum required qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Relevant experience can be obtained through schoolwork, classes, project work, internships, Co-ops, or research experience. Additional preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related STEM field.
- Hands-on software development experience in two or more of the following languages: C, C++, Python, Rust, SystemC, or domain-specific modeling languages.
- Experience analyzing problems, debugging code, and developing logical solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software testing methodologies and experience using test automation frameworks (e.g., pytest, CMocka, Unity/CUnity).
- Exposure to SoC or embedded firmware development/validation, including work in pre-silicon (simulation, emulation) or post-silicon environments.
- Experience with system software such as BIOS/UEFI, embedded OS, Linux kernel, or associated diagnostic/monitoring tools.
- Experience with computer architecture, including processors, memory subsystems, interrupts, and I/O-ideally in server or embedded contexts.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools such as JTAG, gdb, or firmware debuggers.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
$94,100.00-132,850.00 USD
