The Opportunity:
As a Financial Operations (FinOps) Engineer at Booz Allen, you will be part of an on-site IT modernization team that focuses on improving business and operational processes for a variety of IT domains on a large scale using an Agile project framework. Our scope will include SaaS asset management and IT lifecycle management processes, data creation and analysis, and optimization across hybrid cloud solutions. We are like a multi-tool for the organization that can help connect product owners, directorate stakeholders, engineers, and finance to help forecast and make data driven decisions. You will examine existing systems and policies to evaluate their efficiency and update or draft SOPs for the client as your team develops the roadmap toward new and innovative enterprise-wide processes and data governance procedures.
As a FinOps Engineer on our team, you'll translate your customer’s IT needs and future goals into a plan by leveraging your knowledge of data, technical, and soft skills to create reports and dashboards to help communicate and collaborate with teams and present thoughts and products to our clients. Through your leadership, we’ll help transform the way the government uses technology, including cloud migration, integrating advanced technology, and modernizing legacy systems. And, what do you do next in a career where you’ve reached this level? You mentor the next set of developers to help them grow into tomorrow’s solutions architects.
