Job Description

This individual will work with their direct leadership to drive Thermo Fisher Scientific’s financial planning and analysis processes for Corporate Functions. The ideal candidate must have a consistent track record as an experienced high potential talent demonstrating drive, ambition, financial and analytical acuity, and sound judgment.

What you will do!

  • Provide financial planning and analysis support around monthly/quarterly reporting and planning/forecasting.
  • Assist with developing Annual Operating Plans (AOPs) and monthly forecasts; conduct variance analyses, and other ad hoc analyses.
  • Deliver key month-end close processes and post-close reporting for operating expenses including creation of journal entries and headcount tracking.
  • Deliver operational improvements to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Exhibit proficiency with ad hoc projects and analyses.

  • Challenge the current state of core processes while using prior finance experience to drive innovative solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role.
  • Systems experience preferred, including, but not limited to: Hyperion Planning, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, knowledge of PowerBI or Business Intelligence Tools
  • Demonstrated achievement in forming reasoned conclusions, recognizing patterns, and accurately evaluating outcomes against relevant benchmarks

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $83,300.00–$125,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
