How You’ll Make an Impact
As an integral member of the Finance team, you will be responsible for financial management reporting, financial analysis, supporting the budgeting and forecasting function within the team, with an overriding objective of driving the business forward.
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Analyst Sr will:
Take ownership and responsibility with the consolidation of the Fidelity Canada P&L for the quarterly forecast cycles and annual business planning.
Develop, manage and regularly present a reporting framework, including key success measures.
Update scorecards for the business, including commentary.
Determine need for existing or new reports, and design new reports and frameworks to address needs of business, and proactively anticipate future requirements.
Coordinate with other members of the finance department in assisting with the development and consolidation of expense forecasts.
Create and maintain various forecast templates for consolidation of results.
Assist in creation of quarterly forecast presentations and related analysis.
Build out efficiencies in existing forecasting processes and systems.
Participate in special projects and other ad-hoc analyses as required to help drive business decisions.
Take ownership for ensuring key processes are documented.
Build positive relationships with key stakeholders and management across the organization.
The Expertise You Bring
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong knowledge of financial systems and technology - advanced level of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Ease at handling big datasets, and familiarity with business intelligence applications (i.e. Business Objects, etc.).
Ability to multi-task and work well independently, as well as within a team.
Ability to provide project recommendations and conclusions by identifying gaps or inefficiencies in existing systems.
What We are Looking For
Completion of University Degree with a focus in business (Accounting, Economics, Commerce, or Mathematics/Statistics preferred), or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a financial analyst role within a finance department.
Experience in financial analysis and modeling, reporting, budgeting and/or business planning.
Advanced experience in reporting tools such Power BI, PowerPoint, Tableau.
Completion of or working towards a CPA designation, or MBA.
