•We are looking for a talented Financial Analyst to join CoE-FPNA team and objective of this role is to work and support Maersk's overall objectives and partner with the operations and finance teams and support them to deliver their business plans through performance management and analytics to drive business decisions, and drive standardization across processes
• The role will work with multiple aspects of our financial reporting, process optimisation, financial planning and analysis as well as communication with a range of management levels and business segments. It requires work on multiple projects where KPIs and metrics will be defined/ need to be defined
- Work across Operation Finance teams informing, analysing and challenging business performance
- Support Monthly performance reviews with efficient and clear communication to stakeholders and decision makers.
- Responsible for variance analysis and interpreting the numbers with industry trends
- Responsible for reporting Operation KPI scorecard
- Proactively drive a cost leadership mindset- Influencing decisions to avoid and save cost
- Ownership of business planning, budgeting and expenditure forecasting process
- Partnering with the HQ Ops FPNA team for performance management, support on various HQ initiatives for cost control, and predictive analytics.
- Support projects / initiatives from finance side for seamless execution and helping achieve organizational objectives
- Build analytics-based models to automate forecasting
- Work with multiple teams-operations, finance, accounting and synergise with everyone to achieve cost leadership goals
- Influence the business leaders, operations heads with data driven story telling and insights and business recommendation.
- Partnering with Business leaders of multiple functions to achieve common goals
- Work with other cost areas and contribute to knowledge repository
Required Business/ Technical Knowledge Key Attributes
- Has in-depth knowledge and experience within own job discipline;
- Handles most situations independently, receives minimal guidance, but will seek advice and guidance on more complex issues;
- Applies subject matter knowledge to solve common business issues operating within practices and procedures covered by precedents or well-defined policies, escalating all non-routine problems;
- Experience in a functional area routinely applying knowledge of theories, methods, techniques and processes;
- Understands the overall nature of the business and the interdependencies between own and other functions;
- Presents results of own work outside of team, but is mainly internally oriented
Experience:
Minimum 6-8 years of experience. Elevated level of energy, passion to lead/collaborate with people, ability to manage multiple stakeholders with ease, should be able to manage the resources- tasks-time- colleagues etc. Knowledge of Shipping/SCM/Terminal Business will be an added advantage
Educational Qualification:
Graduate/ Post Graduate/ MBA with minimum of 8+ years Industry experience in Financial reporting / BI /Analytics/ consulting.
The candidate should have positive attitude, creating and developing the culture of creativity/ innovation, ability to migrate/ manage tasks, should be able to build process from scratch to a stable platform, strong zeal towards simplification/ automation
