Job Description:

Role: 

Purpose of the Role & Responsibilities

Purpose of the Role & Responsibilities:

The Financial Accounting Officers will ensure that the accounting structure, mapping logic, and reporting outputs from the required entity to accurately reflect Finance’s book-of-record data and meet internal and external reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the configuration of GL detail outputs for entity submissions.

Validate completeness and accuracy of book-of-record data within the BFA platform.

Work with SMEs and Data Operations to align mappings and accounting treatments.

Reconcile BFA outputs to trial balance and ledger data for accuracy.

Support validation for TM1 and Saracen Phase 3 submissions.

Provide input to data enrichment and adjustment logic for accounting accuracy.

Control:

·         Ensure accounting configurations comply with Finance policy, controls, and governance standards.

·         Maintain documentation of mappings, rules, and reconciliations for audit purposes.

Management of Risk:

·         Identify and resolve discrepancies between source data and GL outputs.

  • Ensure control checks and reconciliations are embedded prior to go-live.

Stakeholder Management:

·         Collaborate with entity controllers, Data Operations, and BFA delivery teams.

·         Liaise with global Finance stakeholders to ensure consistent accounting alignment.

·         Communicate findings and issue resolutions to FinOps leadership.

Essential Experience & Competencies

 

·         Qualified or part-qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, MBA, or equivalent).

·         Strong understanding of financial accounting, GL reconciliation, and reporting.

·         Working knowledge of Finance systems (TM1, Saracen, FCDP).

·         Proven analytical and problem-solving ability.

·         Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills.

Note: These are temporary consultant roles engaged via the project function to support BFA implementation. All roles will roll off BAU activities once the programme is complete.
