About the role
As a Finance Officer, this is your opportunity to provide day to day management of finances and administrative practical support across the breadth of functions and activities operated at Melbourne Project 614 Corps.
Reporting to the Corps Officers, this is a permanent part-time role offering 10 hours, located in Melbourne, VIC.
How you will make an impact
Process and approve invoices in line with TSA delegations, ensuring accurate coding, timely payments and appropriate handling of supplier queries.
Reconcile accounts and address outstanding items promptly, including processing corporate card transactions, internal transfers and purchase orders in accordance with TSA policies.
Assist Corps Officers with budget preparation, liaise with DHQ finance officers and prepare financial reports as requested.
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems, track invoices and budgets and provide support for petty cash, payroll and bookkeeping functions.
Work collaboratively with team members, share essential information across departments and demonstrate professionalism, reliability and flexibility in all tasks.
What you will bring
Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in similar role, including bookkeeping, financial administration, office administration, banking or business administration.
High competence with Excel and/or bookkeeping systems.
High level of attention to figure work, calculations, maintaining records and digital filing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Experience working in a team environment and assisting multiple departments or individuals.
