Job Description

How you will make an impact:

Our site Cost Accounting function provides financial oversight and support for our rapidly growing, fast-paced, Ridgefield, NJ site by leading activities such as budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, reporting, and driving financial success.

What you will do:

  • Analysis of customer proposals/pricing and site growth opportunities: Line expansions and investments in new filling lines
  • Active tier meeting participation for the manufacturing and packaging areas
  • Maintain accurate and consistent standard costs.
  • Validate Practical Process Improvements (PPI) savings, participate in Kaizens and highlight areas of opportunity
  • Partner with area managers for financial transparency and accountability
  • Support site compliance to SOX controls and external audits
  • Support month end close and key variance financial reporting
  • Continuously improve finance team processes through use of visual management and Finance tier meeting
  • Participate in key software implementations (Power-BI) at the site and for the network

How you will get here:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business-related field

Experience

  • 5+ years relevant working experience
  • Cost accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Experience with data warehousing tools
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven track record driving continous improvement
  • Curiosity and initiative to discover root cause

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, able to summarize and present information in a concise and effective manner
  • Attention to detail and consistently delivering high quality work; ability to learn quickly, and multi-task in deadline driven environment
