Finance Business Process & Systems, Senior Analyst

The Finance Business Process and Systems, Senior Analyst will be responsible for assisting in continuous improvement of business processes and reporting through planning, designing, prioritizing, testing, and implementation of business enhancement requests for finance and supply chain.

Performs sophisticated analyses to consume and interpret data sets from multiple sources in order to impact design utilizing business understanding, sophisticated report writing tools and in-depth knowledge of excel; Recommends and strategizes on potential business process enhancements to make recommendations for improvement; Directs testing efforts in relation to report/business process design and test execution utilizing a variety of tools to track and report status and progress; Utilizing technical and security expertise creates Workday Reporting for Enterprise wide reporting initiatives and break fixes.

Confers with the report writers on how to design complex reporting and assesses requirements to ensure they are operationally sound; Leads and directs sessions to gather requirements for reports/business process enhancements to support operational needs; Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in designated Areas to respond to customer inquiries and to help respond to university wide questions; Creates content for and presents new reporting and business process concepts to stakeholders, subject matter experts and university-wide audiences to gain overall buy in and consensus; Writes Enterprise Wide communications to showcase business process changes and reporting to impacted community and provides content for job aids and training.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of Four (4) years of experience in finance, data analysis, OSU finance operations or relevant business experience. Proficient in data analytics, including data large data sets and manipulating them to make business decisions. Experience with documentation of processes with a background in finance. Demonstrated expertise of building consensus across diverse business groups, while influencing successful outcomes. Demonstrated experience facilitating work groups. Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities at a given time. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees, peers, executive leadership, customers.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in accounting, accounts receivables, customer contracts, and/or expenses, and/or supplier accounts. Deep knowledge of financial business processes. Experience with Ohio State financial processes and systems. Strongly prefer a Workday finance, security, and/or a reporting background.

Additional Information:

The Target Hiring Range for this position is $75,700 to $98,900 per year.
