Field Service, Technical Assistant - Temporary 12 months

Job Summary:

The Field Service Technical Assistant will be responsible for providing support in field service contracts, ensuring the proper receipt, recording, and control of information and departmental projects. This role involves issuing technical and administrative reports, as well as direct interaction with internal and external customers, ensuring clear communication and excellence in service delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control the various phases of field service delivery, acting as a process integrator to ensure that all aspects negotiated and/or agreed upon at the time of sale are fulfilled, with particular attention to project metrics such as margins, cash flow, delivery schedules, and quality.

  • Report project progress to customers and coordinate internal and external project activities through existing project management systems and software.

  • Receive, verify, and record information related to equipment from field service activities.

  • Prepare technical and administrative reports regarding equipment serviced in the field.

  • Maintain direct communication with customers, providing updates on service progress, timelines, and equipment conditions.

  • Ensure compliance with Flowserve’s quality and safety standards and procedures.

  • Update internal systems with information on field service activity status.

  • Assist in organizing technical and logistical documentation related to field services.

  • Collaborate effectively with Flowserve’s support organizations, including repair centers, customer service, and sales engineering.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of industrial applications and operations of pumps, valves, seals, actuators, and mechanical equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical technical drawings, cross-section drawings, and dimensional equipment drawings.

  • Ability to prepare technical reports.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Project Management.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and internal departments in a diverse environment.

  • Intermediate English proficiency.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Basic knowledge of equipment control and technical documentation.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Advanced English and/or intermediate Spanish preferred.

  • Professional certifications in the related area.
